This is the most important guide in the entire documentation library. The Festinger Vault plugin is not just another addon; it is the bridge between our massive database and your WP dashboard.
Without this plugin, you are stuck downloading files manually, uploading them via FTP, and updating them one by one, like it is 2010. Do not do that to yourself. Follow these steps to automate your workflow.
The Goods
We do not host our plugin on the official repository because we operate outside the usual boundaries. We keep it exclusive. You need to grab the file directly from us.
Important:
Do not download the raw code using the standard GitHub download button. That version is not compiled, and it will fail because it is missing dependencies. Use the specific link provided below.

The Requirements
Before you try to install this, ensure your hosting environment can run modern software. If your server is powered by a potato, this might not end well.
-
WP 6.0 or higher
-
PHP 7.4 or higher (We strongly recommend 8.0+)
-
HTTPS enabled (We do not talk to insecure sites)
-
Active Festinger Vault account & License key
Step 1: Get the File
Click the link above and save the festingervault.zip file to your computer.
Crucial Detail: Do not unzip the file. WP expects a zip file. If you unzip it, you will just have a folder of code that you cannot upload via the dashboard. Leave it zipped.
Step 2: Upload to WP
Log in to your WP admin panel. We are doing a standard manual installation.
-
Navigate to Plugins on the left sidebar.
-
Click Add New.
-
Click the Upload Plugin button at the very top of the screen.
-
Click Choose File and select the festingervault.zip file you just downloaded.
-
Click Install Now.
Step 3: Activate and Connect
Once WP finishes uploading the file, click Activate Plugin.
You are not done yet. The plugin is installed, but it is currently dumb. It does not know who you are or what license you have. You need to introduce yourself.
- Look for the Festinger Vault menu in your WP sidebar. It usually appears near the bottom.
- Click it. You will be greeted by a connection screen.
- Click the big button to activate your license.
- Authorize the connection by inserting your license key. Once you see the green success message, the handshake is complete.
Step 4: Verify It Works
To make sure everything is talking to each other correctly, go to the Product Library tab inside the plugin menu.
If you see a list of plugins, themes, and search bars, congratulations. You are connected. You can now install anything directly from this screen without ever leaving your WP dashboard.
Configuration Settings
Before you start downloading, take a second to look at the Settings tab. You can control how the plugin behaves.
-
Auto Updates: If enabled, we will update your plugins in the background. If you prefer to have total control, turn this off.
-
Notifications: We can email you when updates happen.
-
White Labeling: If you are an agency and you do not want your clients knowing you get your tools from us, you can rename the plugin menu here.
Troubleshooting
If you hit a wall, check these common issues before opening a ticket:
-
White Screen of Death: Your PHP memory limit is likely too low. Increase it in your hosting settings.
-
Connection Failed: Check if you are using HTTPS. If your site is not secure (SSL), our API will refuse to connect to it for security reasons.
-
Download Failed: Check your available disk space. If your server is full, we cannot put files on it.
If you are still stuck, take a screenshot of the specific error message and post it in the Support category. We will sort it out.
