Apology for Server Outage and Important Update

Hello everyone,

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected server outage this evening. We wish to be transparent with our valued community about the root cause. An unforeseen issue with our external backup processor consumed all the available CPU of our production server, leading to downtime.

The good news: we’ve acted swiftly. The backup tool has now been migrated to an external server to ensure that our production server remains 100% online and uncompromised. This adjustment will enhance our service stability and availability, making sure you have uninterrupted access to Festinger Vault.

Should you continue to face any issues or anomalies, kindly report them right here on this topic. Your feedback is invaluable, and it assists us in refining our services and offering you a seamless experience.

Once again, we deeply regret any disruption this may have caused and sincerely thank you for your understanding and patience.

Warm regards,

Martin
Festinger Vault Admin Team

This issue has already been solved. Please check now.

Hi, is not solved in my ends, the backedns is ultra-slow and i have more than 100 sites connected, if i disable the plugin in all of them i have to manually enable and configure the whitelabel. Can you check this?

This happen when i try to navigate in the dashboard, if i disable your plugin the problem solve automaticaly

I spent way too much of my day yesterday trying to figure out why all my sites, unrelated and residing on multiple hosts/servers, were behaving the same way. Painfully slow backend and frequent timeouts. Now I understand.

Guys, I don’t know if you’re trying to do too much, or you don’t have the resources you need, or you think you know more than you do… but you can’t do this. Too many of us rely on your service in the real world, with real client sites. I’ve only been using FV for a couple of months, but there have just been too many issues.

We’re really sorry for the inconvenience.

We’re moving our engine to a dedicated server so every possible interruption on our main website will not affect any of the websites using the Festinger Vault plugin.

However, all of our services are working 100% again.

Hey @housealcreative, thanks a lot for voicing your concerns. I personally agree with you 100%. As we have to deal with loads of issues lately, we have decided to permanently move our engine to a new server so it will not be affected if any new issues occur on our main website. Currently, both instances are hosted on the same server and the issues were caused by our main website.

You can rest assured that your clients will not encounter any more offline time as we have also a new backup in place which will take-over the entire system if it is offline.

Again, we’re really sorry and we’re doing our upper-best to solve this issue permanently as we understand the importance of having our service 100% online.

I am sorry to say “I told you so” but “I told you so”, I wrote to you more than a month ago offering you FREE advice because I am a specialist in web loading speed and I saw the huge imbalance and horror of surfing your site and you never answered me. I hope you will find a solution but here are the consequences.

This problem still exists.

The site is slow at the moment. Error 512 : Connection Timed out…

hate to be that guy that throws fuel on the fire but I’m experiencing the same issue. Appreciate you will be doing all you can to solve the issue at hand!

We are unable to even login to the festingervault website it is running hell slow, it is reminding me the days of of early 2000 when the internet speed use to be in KBPS and website use to take 30 minutes to load landing page…
Location: India

Here is the screenshot

I hate to write but even me, I’m experiencing the plugin not properly responding. Even today as I write this. I tried to install a plugin from Vault but it only froze the page then nothing happened. I need to reload the whole page try again and do the same thing and nothing is installed. I also experienced time out after reloading 3x times.

I think the problem is also that FestingerVault users are power users.

For example: when I open “New favourites WP items” I open 100 new tabs and review each item.
If there are a lot of us doing this, it sends out thousands of simultaneous requests, and if the Festinger server doesn’t have enough resources it’s normal for the site to be affected frequently and for all users.

Same here, Festenger Vault Plugin block access to WordPress Admin panel when Festenge service is down (that’s happens all day today and yesterday). Why it’s even happens? I mean… why Festenger website and/or service affect site performance? And why if Festenger website down we can’t login to WordPress Admin panel? How to bypass this without Festenger Vault Plugin deactivation?

Hey man, sorry we missed your offer to assist us here. While we have the expertise to make our service as best as possible, we’re always open to receiving feedback from our customers if there is room for improvement. I sent you a PM with more info. Thanks for the offer!

Please try now. We’re happy to announce that we have troubleshooted the issue. We’re using the content control plugin for WordPress to hide the members-only pages for visitors:

Unfortunately, we had automatic updates enabled for this particular plugin and they recently decided to upgrade their entire plugin to a new framework which isn’t compatible with our services. We had to troubleshoot our entire WordPress area to investigate this issue in further detail and we decided to roll back this plugin to version 1.x.

As our main website is connected to our engine, it was affected as well.

We have moved our engine to a new server so whatever happens to our main website, all services will remain functioning. This was a huge lesson to learn for our crew. As our current dedicated server is powerful enough to handle all the requests (even for power users @recreabox1  ) — we decided it’s better to have on on a different web server so all services can be continued during any form of unexpected interruption.

@here thank you all for all the valuable feedback. As we are a small team of 7 people, we’re always open to learn from our mistakes and to improve our services.

If you still encounter any issues. please reply here and we’re happy to assist you.
