What’s Next for Festinger Vault? Everything You Asked For

Hi everyone,

We’re excited to share what’s already in development for the next major phase of Festinger Vault. Based on your feedback and long-term platform goals, the following features are already planned and will be rolling out soon.

While everything below is already in motion, we’re still open to thoughtful suggestions that could help make these features even better.

Platform Upgrades (next week)

  • Full upgrade to Tailwind CSS 4 across both the plugin and main website
  • A redesigned user interface focused on clarity, speed, and usability
  • Major improvements to our documentation to make it more useful and accessible
  • Live chat support will replace the outdated support topic system, allowing you to speak directly with our team
  • Over 5,000 queued items will be added to the Vault in the coming days and weeks

Sub-License Management and Custom Collections

We’re introducing a complete sub-license system, tightly integrated with the ability to assign custom product collections to each key. This provides the level of control that agencies, developers, and teams need.

Key features:

  • Generate sub-licenses linked to your main license
  • Set specific limits for each sub-license: activations, download quotas, update rights
  • Assign access to specific plugin and theme collections
  • Revoke or modify licenses at any time from your Vault dashboard or plugin interface

Example use cases:

  • Allow access to three plugins for domain-x.com and all themes for domain-y.com
  • Create a “starter pack” collection for client onboarding
  • Enable or disable automatic updates per domain
  • Share product bundles with clients or internal teams

Reseller License and API Access

Aimed at advanced users and developers, this feature allows you to build on top of the Vault — or turn it into your own storefront.

You will be able to:

  • Use your own domain for API endpoints
  • Sync the full Vault catalog into Easy Digital Downloads, or a custom solution
  • Accept payments via your own gateways (Stripe, PayPal, crypto, etc.)
  • Define your own pricing and bundles
  • Automatically generate secure download links and licenses after purchase
  • Access full OpenAPI developer documentation

MainWP Compatibility

For users managing multiple installations, MainWP support will simplify your workflow.

  • Install plugins and themes directly from the Vault dashboard to connected sites
  • Manage automatic update settings per domain
  • Monitor license usage and plugin activity across all sites from one central panel

Your Input is Welcome

Everything above is already part of our development roadmap. However, if you have feedback that could help us refine or improve these features, we’d love to hear it.

Submit your ideas in the Features section. Your input continues to help shape Festinger Vault into something better for everyone.

Thank you for being a valuable part of the Festinger Vault community.

Best regards,
Martin
